Time to Create

Two cameras two lenses - that’s all I loaded into my trusty F-Stop Gear camera pack as I ventured to a local park. My creative process complex with gear, social media, and noise of everyday existence has become overwhelming. I needed a change to make meaningful images beyond the myopic content being forced by Facebook and Instagram. This past week I removed FB and IG from my phone freeing up almost 20 hours per week of “wasted time” Time I can now use to think, create and consume meaningful content. Content not filtered by whatever algorithm social media decides to apply. I still have the accounts (for now) posting new work but not concerning myself with the endless scrolling through feeds of filtered data. I don’t need to see another selfie or over processed landscape image. So today I had time. Time to seek clarity, to explore, visualize. Time to create.
